Positive: Spacious room with all modern fittings. Comfortable bed, clean, modern bathroom with large shower. Welcoming host, who takes time to meet you on arrival and talk to you. This House is on a small island off the main bridge in Amboise. An enchanting little mini village with great walls and access to the river if you are so inclined. It was about a 10min walk from the station for us. You have access to a common kitchen with a nice coffee machine and pods, tea etc is supplied. We had a great stay here.
Negative: Not so much a dislike, but a warning about the confined stairway. A bit hard to navigate with large bags, or some immobility issues. Was fine for us though

Positive: The location was perfect. This has been the highlight of our first trip to Europe/UK. The old village with all its history was picture perfect. The cafes and pubs and friendly staff were wonderful especially at the shack and the hotel on the left corner of the main street as you enter.
Negative: The weather could have been better but can't control that.was still nice.

Positive: We loved staying at Villa Mary! The location was perfect access to the train station and Amboise. Easy 10 min. walk to the city center over the bridge. Nice welcome from Mary when we arrived. The bedroom and bath were beautifully updated. The shared kitchen worked well for us with coffee, tea, and a refrigerator. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant at the end of the street with an incredible view of the Chateau d'Amboise which is lit up at night. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Mary for a lovely stay!
